For nearly two decades, Ra’Chelle has worked and crossed paths with some of the most recognized names in the media and entertainment industries. Ra’Chelle is the founder and principal publicist for Phila~sophy PR, a public relations consulting service, based in and inspired by the city of Philadelphia.
Launched in 2009, Phila~sophy PR has executed successful national and local PR campaigns for both high-profile celebrities and Philadelphia talent. Past and present clients include: Time Inc., Verizon Wireless, ESSENCE magazine and Essence.com, the Essence Festival, People en Español (inaugural Festival! People en Español), Grammy award-winning songstress Jill Scott's Blue Babes Foundation, TNT Networks and FXNetworks (via 135th Street Agency), Kenny Smith’s NBA All-Star Weekend events 2009, actor & comedian Mike Epps (Tupac Shakur’s Birthday Celebration Concert presented by Mike Epps and Afeni Shakur), Philadelphia’s non-profit organization Unity in the Community led by Anton Moore, LuLu Bang Sauces as seen on ABC's Shark Tank, and a host of Philadelphia’s most reputable entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Ra’Chelle left her hometown to pursue an education and career in media in New York City. While living in New York City, Ra’Chelle was the Publicist for the print and online editions of media conglomerate Time Inc.'s ESSENCE, Real Simple and In Style magazines. In that role, she worked with countless celebrities and entertainment industry icons managing publicity for major events that included the Essence Music Festival, Essence’s First-Annual Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon, Real Simple/NY Housing Works “Design on a Dime”, Real Simple’s Holiday Solutions multi-city mall tour, In Style/Warner Bros 2006 Golden Globes Party and more. In addition to PR experience, Ra'Chelle has corporate experience as a senior leader overseeing internal communications for billion-dollar corporate giants and industry leaders. Earlier in her career, Ra'Chelle developed editorial experience at the Newspaper Association of America, The Source, XXL and Vibe magazines.
Ra’Chelle received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Long Island University.
