For more than a decade, Ra’Chelle has worked and crossed paths with some of the biggest names in the media and entertainment industries.  Ra’Chelle is the founder and principal publicist for Phila~sophy PR, a public relations firm based in Philadelphia, PA. 

Launched in 2009, Phila~sophy PR  is on track to be Philadelphia’s preeminent fashion, lifestyle and entertainment public relations company and has already executed successful PR campaigns for both high-profile celebrities and local talent. Past and present clients include: Essence Magazine, Kenny Smith’s NBA All-Star Weekend 2009, actor & comedian Mike Epps, The Tupac Shakur Birthday Celebration Presented by Mike Epps & Afeni Shakur, film producers Steve Gordon and Terrence Glasgow (“The Gift”), film director Jamal Hill, fashion designers GODDA GODDA, and Rashida Blalock, designer, Pinkney Turner.

Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Ra’Chelle left her hometown in 1996 to pursue an education and career in media in New York City. While living in New York, Ra’Chelle was the Publicist for Time Inc. magazines ESSENCE, Real Simple and In Style. In that role, she worked with countless celebrities and industry influencers providing publicity support for major events including the Essence Music Festival, Essence’s First-Annual Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon, Real Simple/NY Housing Works “Design on a Dime”, Real Simple’s Holiday Solutions multi-city mall tour, In Style/Warner Bros Golden Globes Party and more. During her tenure, she consistently coordinated television segments on programs like Today Show, CBS Early Show, Good Morning America, The Tyra Banks Show, Access Hollywood, BET News and Extra. She has also secured print media placements in The New York Post, The New York Daily News, WWD and Crains NY.

In addition to her PR experience, she developed her editorial talents at the Newspaper Association of America, The Source, XXL and Vibe magazines.

Ra'Chelle received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Long Island University. She currently resides in Philadelphia, Pa with her daughter.
